Exploring creative theatrical depths |
A lasting Journey |
In this advanced theatre classes, scholars will focus on three aspects: Theatre Process, Theatre in Context and Presenting Theatre. Scholars will investigate theatre through the roles of dramaturge, designer, performer, and producer. Through an examination of theatrical traditions and approaches, scholars will enhance their prior knowledge of this interdisciplinary subject. Scholars will grow through experience and reflection on their own work and the work of others. Scholars will be introduced to a variety of theatre styles so that they can make informed decisions during the creation of their Independent Project. Scholars are expected to maintain a theatre journal. IB scholars will be required to complete 4 assessments attached to the IB curriculum. All scholars will be involved in class performances, presentations and be expected to complete all core assignments. IB Scholars will choose, early in the year, whether they will test as HL or SL.
